I would buy a PS3, but not to play, I would sell it. It\'s actually a really good investment because the damn thing is going to sell before christmas. And it\'ll sell for alot of $$$. Right now, there are some up on ebay for an average of $2,500 and some are even as high as $7,500. That\'s 10x the profit for buying the damn thing. I\'m pissed that I didn\'t reserve one.:cussing::cussing:

Yup, it\'s the version that was redone for Donnie Darko and is such a good tune. I think my liking of it goes up because it was in that film, but still lovely. Amazingly it managed to beat the usual horrors to get the Christmas number one a few years back in the UK.

Edit - And best trailer for a game? Is that even an official one? I don\'t watch much TV so I\'ve only ever seen it through my 360 and I\'m sure it had sound effects and no tune.

Wow, that actually makes me want to get a 360...

Now that I have more time for video games, I\'ve been looking at the new stuff, and the PS3 is just too expensive...and I couldn\'t give a rip about blu-ray, as it means I\'ll need an HDtv to take advantage of the PS3, really. And that\'s just another expense I don\'t need.

The Wii is actually a good deal. While not having the graphics or dvd capability of 360 or ps3, it will be completely backward compatible with the GameCube games, plus have the ability to download NES, Genesis, and N64 games.

If I could afford a new system right now, that would probably be it. As it is, I need to find a cheap PS2 to replace the one my wife kept.

There\'s my conundrum: I was going to sell a couple of 40K armies to do just that, but now that I have more time, I might actually play or paint! GASP!

Yeah, the Wii looks like yet another stunning console with some great games. That didn\'t really help the Gamecube though did it? You have fine taste though.

I love that Nintendo still make and market games consoles rather than all singing, all dancing multimedia stations. Their systems let you play great games and this is what I want my console for! Joe public doesn\'t seem so interested in that unfortunately.

I also like that Nintendo get excited about things worth getting excited about, real innovations like the new controlers, things that are really going to deeply affect games. How is something like blu-ray going to mean the games evolve in any way?

The Wii though, dude when I swing my arm I hit the ball! Heh! Cool!

Jeff, yep 1k would keep ya in Procreate/greenstuff for a good while .hehe.I just dont know what shocks me more the people paying $7500 for a ps3 or you never having played a video game ..thats a close one..do you remember when the ladies were fighting over Cabbage Patch Kids in the 80\'s?..people cease to amaze me.

Vikey I hadnt seen that version on tv here just where it starts off in the rain.now when the video games look like the trailers thats when they will be really uncanny.

In the last 17 hours the number of PS3\'s listed has gone up by 10,000 making the total around 13,000. The high bid is now up to $10,000.

Last night, in the span of 5 minutes, there were 50 new listings. I sat there hitting refresh about 5 secounds apart. Each time there were numerous more....crazy!

Officially stocking up on chocolate bars, canned foods, and cigarrites. I just got back from my local game store, where one of the clerk have been calling to a friend. He said that there is a/was a listing for a PS3 that sold for 300,000 dollars US?!? WTF! Has the world gone mad? (btw, I have no way of telling if this is true, but the clerk have asked his friend for clarificsion that it was not 3 thousand bucks, but no 300 thousand is the price. Does anyone know how to find/navigate Ebay well enough to find this sale?). I like computer games, and have spend untold amounts for time and money on them, but this seem to me to be taking things abit to the extreme.

I have a suspicion that Nintendo is going to blow the competition out of the water with this round of consoles.

They have refused to enter into a spec-war with Microsoft and Sony and have instead opted for some real innovation. Their controller looks as though it is going to be truly awesome. Forget how games look. It\'s how they play, and this new remote jobby looks as though it\'s going to revolutionise how games are controlled.

Sony\'s last minute attempt at a motion controller is apparently not good, and the controller appears to be hopeless for first person shooters. So basically, Sony have released an upgraded PS2 which plays the contemporary equivalent of Betamax tapes. Great. It\'s massively overpriced in terms of both hardware and software.

I\'ll pass this time I think (at least until they come down to a rreasonable price0.

I watched a video acouple of weeks back with a guy using the wii controls playing the game redsteel and it was ace he was using one of the remotes for movement and the other to aim his weapons, then he started sword fighting. I then saw a video of someone on a flying game for ps3 and it was lifeless he just stood there turn the controller to the left and right.

I had a blast last night watching as Ebay auctions closed.

Within 10 minutes the PS3 auction I was watching went from 1800 to an unbelieveable $7100 in the closing seconds....I bookmarked the page, I really want to see if the transaction actually takes place....
