Purpose of Etch Brass

Friar

I take it it\'s the brass set I think with grates, mesh, gears and what not?

If so you just use that on bases to give a more urban sci fi feel to the base, instead of a mini just standin on rubble he can be on a piece of metal with rubble around him and such things like the gears can be stuck in rubble to add a mechinised feel to the base or you can use em if you want to customise terrain or what ever all up to your imagination. I havn\'t worked with brass myself but am fairly certain all ya do is prime and paint just like any metal mini.

hope this helps

yeah, friar is right, i love those things, you can use them for all sorts, terrain, bases, and even customising tanks:)
you can also get ones from forgeworld.com too:)
like specific chapters etc

The other thing is there are far sharper lines to the etched brass (just make sure you get all the sprue edging of it, those things can rip fingers real quick, a small file or careful dremel use is best)

And it also gives you something more in 3d, as opposed to a flat decal, which you might as well have just painted on anyway.
