Im just put the base coats on a IG Sargent uniform its VMC Medium Grey. The primer i used was Krylon satin black, i grabed the wrong thought it was flat. The base coat paint just looks a little fuzzy its not all over but it small areas. Doubt this helps but i allpied the bc in about 5 to 6 super thin cast diluted a little to much. could any one give tips to avoid this
PS i also cleaned the parts with soap (ivory) toothbrush and water 3 times

Generally I wouldn't undercoat in paint this thin - I aim for a cream-like consistency for undercoat paint, only thinning heavily for layering.

Satin black is not primer. It is paint. It will probably stick better than anything from a GW can, but it is not designed to promote adhesion of the next layer. In fact, quite the opposite - most oil based paints tend to dislike being painted with water based paints.

Your best bet for primer is automotive primer. Duplicolor is great, and you can get it at just about any auto parts store.

Rustoleum is also a good primer too as far as automotive primers go for use with minis. It is a tad on the thick side so only use a light dusting.

I often use Tamiya Fine Surface Primer in Light Grey for combination metal/resin/green stuff/plastic minis. bit expensive but fairly easy to control and is good for pretty mush anything you might want to paint straight over (light colours get just as great coverage over it as dark). A work of caution about Tamiya's other sprays, they aren't all matt and the tins don't usually tell you which ones are.
