cought a tarpon, a baracuda and a jack. Tarpon was prematurely released at boat side before measurements could be taken (best guess was about 50 lb. and around 3 feet). Cuda was released before he was weighed as nobody wanted to get close enough to his teeth (little guy, about 18\").
This a from a gathering of a diferent board (fly fishing) that I also belong to. The beauty of the tourney is that it doesn\'t mater what you cought, all paid entrants names are put in a hat and prizes are drawn for - could be a hat, could be a $600 reel or stick.
I did also manage to catch a plate of ribs and a brew or three that night.
