Ha! Looks like I inadvertantly got me pic posted here! Well..heres a proper pic of me standing by the display cabinet full of KublaAwards entries, topped by our infamous mascot Kubla Khan!
(Im the one on the right that looks like Billy Connelly
PS...and I only run the painting events..not the whole con! That notorious distinction goes to Japji Khalsa.
And here is me with some random girl at the con:
Ha! But of course that is the unmistakable, lovely and talented Marike Reimer getting the KublaSword for Best of Show.

Haaa!! I worked at Armorcast when they were casting those trophies. I saw them sitting around and never knew where they were going.

Hi Shawn! Yep ...good ol Dave Garton cast this last batch of trophies for us. He also converted one of them to hold that beer stein instead of the paintbrush, and painted it up nice, ready to do mascot duty atop our cabinet!
The sculpt was created by CJ Cummings (The Raging Gaijin)

had to share a pic of my little girl, she\'s three and a half, and entered her first rodeo event on the 4th. The even is called mutton busting, and it\'s for small children under 60 lbs. They try to ride a sheep for 8 seconds, and all the little contestants win a dollar. She had a blast!

group pic taken from the weekend.
im kneeling behing the machine gun i was carrying all weekend.
and heres a vid of me firing the Gewehr 98 unfortunatly you cant see the muzzle flash in this... if you want to see it tho let me know and i can email the vid.. the flash however is only on ONE frame in the wrong spot and pointing the wrong way... we thing it had to do with things bouncing off the lenses....
