Both those photos were taken in Italy :]

James: Hell no. I hate hairgel because it makes your hair go all crusty when it dries :|~

Becca: Yep, the mirror in Levanto bathroom had lots of dried water stains on it  but the effect of the flash was quite cool lol

Been away for a while, but I return and what do I find? A PYP thread. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Here\'s me & my bike at Blackness last week, enjoying the near unbroken spell of sunny weather. Marvel at my pasty white legs.

Blackness castle, where they filmed parts of Mel Gibson\'s version of Hamlet, is off to the left.

:D

It\'s a bitsa, bits from here, bits from there, I put it together myself.

It\'s an Airborne Titanium frame, Bomber forks, Shimano LX groupset, Avid disc brakes and various other finishing bits. It\'s reasonably light without being too fragile.

I like Specialized bikes, well specced, good value, you can\'t go wrong with one of them. What model do you have?

Cheers - Rab.

Yours sounds great, like the seat as well, mine is only a hardrock sport in black with silver shocks etc, the cheap ones, but I had to buy 4 in total for the family and I so money was an issue. We only do a bit of cycling, but have just been to centre parcs on holidays and they came in very handy, I do like to cycle off road, and we had plenty of it there.:D

The seat\'s one of the Specialized Body Geometry saddles, one of the best things I\'ve bought for the bike.

The Hardrock\'s a good bike and it\'s a proper mountain bike too, able to take a serious pounding off-road, some of the less expensive stuff (the sub £100 bikes) are marketed as \'off-road\' but they\'re really for gentle forest roads and tow-paths.

I know what you mean about the money, I couldn\'t have afforded to buy the bike outright, it\'s been a gradual process of replacement and upgrading. It costs more in the long run, but I never had to lash out a huge amount in one go.

If you\'re ever up in Scotland, give me a shout, there\'s some great off-road stuff up here, especially aroung Glentress/Inerleithen.

Cheers - Rab.
