Good Old Stonehenge, at least you got closer than I did. Locked off to keep the 80\'s New Age travellers/hippies away.

I heard the Stonehenge was fenced and locked up to keep the vandals away. Something truly bitter has to possess someone to vandalise Stonehenge.

When I was younger (much younger) a friend and me sneaked into stonehenge, on a full moon lit night, and I laid on the slaughter stone, It really was awesome when inside the circle.... then the dogs barked and the guards came,

Slaughter stone? I didn\'t know there was one . Crazy ass druids, no wonder it\'s fenced off!

[archaeologist] Dont worry, there is appsolutly no evidence that the \"Slaughter Stone\" was used to sacrifice people. Indeed we have no real idea if Stonehenge was even a temple. The Celts had far more interesting methods of sacrificing thier offerings than a hacking them to bits on a rock. Some would be put inside a hollow tree and the tree set on fire (as well as giant wicker men which formed the basis of the film). Others would be torn appart by horses running in opposite directions. There was a body found where the victim had a thorned rope shoved through thier arms and tied to the ground in a swamp so they drowned, however it is believed this was a method of executing criminals and traitors. And then theres the material artefacts that were placed in rivers and lakes as offerings such as the Battersea Shield and the Waterloo Helmet. [/archaeologist]

Stonehenge has been vandalised for the past 2000 years. Somewhere on one of the stones it reads something to the tune of \"Julius woz ere\" lol
