Joking aside, did you actually get to go inside stonehenge? and if so, did you get a totally different feel/view of the structure. I have walked round since my jaunt into the henge circle but dont get the same feeling. Mind you its still a great and interesting piece of history

We camp the night of my jaunt, next to a burial mound, south of the henge in a small wood, that was fun

Well yes, obviously, I did get inside the circle and spent about 30 mins there. As for my feelings, it’s hard to tell if I felt any difference from the perception of the structure from outside and inside: I was simply euphoric because of the mere fact of being at Stonehenge.

I still love the old Avebury/Silbury Hill/West and East Kennet longbarrows etc.........absolutely great round that area.
