Well this does tend to be the opinion of the man on the street and from what I\'ve seen at Games Workshops, Games Days etc from quite a lot of punters it\'s tough to deny too. But most folks here seem to live relatively normal lives and be fairly with it, which is why I\'ve spent far too much time here... I\'m not gonna make a brazillion posts to people I think are socially backwards.

And I get some folks are messing, I have a generally high tollerance for messing, but I just tend to find that things get low and lecherous way too quickly in the PYP threads. I don\'t think I\'m exactly prudish either, or terribly respectful of women. ;)

I dunno, maybe I am being too protective. Lets put it this way, I have very little in the way of decent photos of myself online. One I posted here, the other possibility was more interesting, as it features me ice skating on an outdoor rink in Nottingham city centre, but as it has two girls I know in it as well I ellected not to post it, because I could guess how responses would go.

Perhaps I\'m just an overprotective misery guts.

Come on lono, it\'s nearly Christmas, share the goodies <--that was just me messing ;)

I have to say though that as far as letching goes round here, it\'s not just the men that are guilty. In fact I think you\'ll find that some of the ladies round here are much better at it than us...

...and long may it continue

Luckily I don\'t have a sister, otherwise she\'d likely die a virgin.

Flirting always gets a little more intense online, and in GW stores. Heck, if Billy and Liz met in real life, they\'d probably shake hands, not other things.

If I ever met Liz in real life I\'m sure I\'d be shaking all over ;)

Think you may be reading more into some of these responses than is actually there, lono. Yeah, some of it can seem rather shameless, but I don\'t think it stands out from the typical good-natured jackassery that usually runs rampant here in the General Discussion forum. :)

Personally don\'t see the point of flirting online; it\'s just nothing like real life and you miss all the wondeful subtle innuendos that tone conveys. But hey, other folks have fun with text only, so it doesn\'t strike me as lecherous that they do it.

Jester the Jarhead & Meg may need a separate room in the MANCAVE.

OK, I\'ll back down and stop spoiling everyone elses fun!

As for online flirting, I can see the point. You can carefully plan responses and make yourself sound vaguely cool as opposed to reality, where you know that your mouth is going to move faster than your brain can work and you\'re just gonna end up saying something along the lines of \"I wanna be on you!\"

:D :D :D

Thank you for standing up for us girls lono. It\'s very nice of you! There\'s always one gentleman in the bunch. Last time it was Rev. We do appreciate it. :innocent:

You can\'t really blame the boys though. We girls really can stir things up. But it\'s all in good fun and we know when to pull people back. Example, Jesterz comment about Becca was a bit too far but I snatched him up short. And he relented.

Look at it this way. Things can get a bit stuffy around here sometimes and threads like this let us shake it off. We all know about role playing and that\'s kind of what this is all about.

If you met me in real life you\'d be stunned. I probably look like the universal Mom. Not at all what I seem here. And Donna? She\'s in a wheel chair. This place gives her the ability to get up and walk around.

Again. Thanks! You are a good person, lono and I\'m sorry if we offend you. Just approach it all with a smile and your tongue in your cheek and let us know if we go too far. We do sometimes.

Oh, and if Billy and I met in real life I\'d make SURE he\'d be shaking in his boots! He\'s earned it!

Oh geez, man, that was my best line! :(
With that and the success of your profile pic, you really did never stand a chance

See, this is why these threads are so important. Maybe if we flirt enough here when the time comes to face a real girl you might actually have trained your brain enough to say something moderatly clever like, \"ummmm.........yah! You\'re cute!\" Instead of \"me want to mate with you!\"

I don\'t expect you\'ll pick up advanced flirting tecniques here but at least you can make a start.

Yeah, that actually makes a lot of sense when you put it that way. I didn\'t even consider that before. Alrighty, well now I see the point. :)

@ Gilven- That\'s my daughter\'s name too! Although mine\'s is spelled \"Gwendolyn\" and we call her Gwena for short.

She 5 now with mop of naturally curly hair, though she was born nearly bald.

No guys better touch her for at least 20 years! .. maybe longer... ;)

Camera shy Julie Guthrie

Here I am with my idol, Julie Guthrie, over dinner one night. (Yes, I deliberately sat her next to me at the table.) Her husband, the charming and talented Bob Ridolfi, and about 30 more talented pals of the paint brush and sculpting tool were also present to party. ....ask me if I wasn\'t just in hog heaven that night. :D
