I have always maintained that I look exactly like my avatar and I had a picture at the beginning of this thread to prove it. Unfortunately the hosting site vanished and thus so did the picture.

My picture on this thread (up a few posts) and the picture of where I live on the \'trip around the world\' thread were up for a few days and now they are gone. Anyone know what happened?

See if I can answer my own question. I claened out my photobucket album. I thought the pictures shown here were actually HERE. It appeares CMON retrieves all the pictures every time you view a thread with pictures. Is this how it works??

Yes, when you post a link on the CMoN forums to an image that\'s located elsewhere (such as PhotoBucket), then the image is shown from that location everytime the page is loaded and the link is accessed. If the image is removed from the original location from which it was linked (by cleaning out your PB account, for example), it\'s no longer there and can\'t be loaded the next time the page comes up.

Talk about blowing preconceptions here... now exactly why did I think that DragonPaint was some scrawny little whippersnapper who could paint better than I dreamt of doing? Now I find he\'s a distinguished looking bloke who can still paint better than I can dream of doing.
