Question About Articles

Hi all,

Just wrote/posted my first article and since I\'m not seeing it as quickly as I would a forum post, I assume that it needs to be cleared by a moderator much like an image post to a gallery.

Is this correct? I only ask to make sure I did things right when posting.

Yup and it seems to take forever too. Just be patient. They have to find time to read the whole thing. I can\'t wait to see it! :D

Yep. Articles take the longest time to be checked (Understandably)

I\'d give it at LEAST a week

Thanks for the quick replies, folks. Guess I\'ll just have to hang on and hope, after a week, my code is correct! ;)

If you\'re wondering, it\'s a tutorial on doing battle damage for vehicles - due largely to the newest ork releases.

Articles are approved (depending on Spellchecking, Grammar and correct formatting) normally within a day of their being posted.
Only if there is a serious issue with any of the above things will there be a delay while the author is contacted to amend anything major.

Very Rarely will an article NOT be approved and even then that author is contacted to explain what the issues are and we will make suggestions.

I approved your article this morning.

yah, DR. You know he\'s the one with spelling issues. It take FOREVER for you to get though his! ;)

It was showing there at the top of the list, but now it\'s not there. Not sure what happened.

I did notice that the videos were not working, they just seemed to link back to the articles themselves.

I went in and updated the links to the videos (my fault, relative link instead of absolute) and I think it fell off the list to be approved again because of the change.

Sorry Mods... I assume it\'ll be there again once it\'s re-approved.

Oh, and from a quick lookie look, your article kicks serious buttage.

I couldn\'t get the videos to work either, but maybe that was just me.

Hmmm. I\'ll have to look into that. Format issues, maybe? It works on some of my machines (multiple OS and browsers) although now in testing, it seems to crash some after attempting to tell my t oupgrade my Quicktime.

I guess I assumed Quickime mov would be the safest - might need to switch to mpg.

Might be a good idea as I\'ve just found out our works Firewall tells Quicktime to \"Take a Walk\" :D
