Question about strange Ivy

Hey guys,

Do any of you know if Hudson & Allen have ever substituted Foliage for Ivy in their little Ivy packs?

The reason I ask is that I got an order of 5 packs of ivy from an online store in the mail today, only the ivy bag isnt full of ivy, its got the larger green foliage leaves in it instead.

I just want to know if H&A have been known to substitute the leaves for another product before I email the store.

Cheers!

The one on the left is my old ivy, the one on the right is the \'ivy\' I got in the mail.

I wish I could say Z, but I\'ve only ever gotten 1 package from them and it lasts for-EVER. But I had the little leaves :)

Lol Tony.

Anyhoo, im just trying to figure out if H&A ever used to sell these, like perhaps they are old? Or if there\'s some funky business going on.

looks like a mistake - is this the only one?
Guess it could just be a quality control issue - they aare essentially the same birch catkins, just smaller ones are in the ivy - someone maybe forgot their glasses.

Go and email them - with the pictures there should be no issues; good luck

Nope, I ordered 5 packets for myself and a friend. All five have the greyish printing, the cardboard is slightly smaller and the leaves are all the Foliage instead of Ivy.

I guess it was probably a mixup at the plant. No pun intended.

The ivy leaves tend to be stiffer and \'neater\' than the foliage :( *sniff*

On a related note, all the H&A packaging ive gotten has had really black ink, has anyone bought a packet where the printing was grey like in the photo?

With that in an unmarked box, any people passing by are going to get the wrong impression about you :p

just a thought.......could these be copies or as you say, some funky business?

as you mention the grey (scanned or photocopy?) writing, and even if it\'s foliage, it seems too random to my eyes.

As I understand, H&A are generally hard to come by at the best of times. Ebay, or an established store?

Just from a printing point of view the grey one on the right could merely be part of a typical variation in a print run (although normally you\'d never see any quite this sub-par). Notice that the good solid one on the left actually is missing the bottom of the image that you do see on the other, so their standards for consistency don\'t appear to be high.

Yeah the print could just be faded or whatever, Im just trying to figure out what the hell went wrong.

Mine were from Hometown-hobbies.

I emailed the owner about it and he seems unperturbed.
Thing is, I paid $50US for 5 packets of this crap. $20us of which was shipping (13 of which turned out to be handling)

I don\'t need fracken foliage. Its cheap and nasty compared to the Ivy.

My guy said he posted mine out himself, surely he noticed... i mean the pic on his site is of IVY leaves.

Even if there was a mixup at the plant, stores shouldn\'t be selling this as Ivy.
Gah im so pissed about this.
