Question on Chipped Armor

Hello everyone. Just starting an ork army and was wondering what is a good way to do the chipped armor effect. Black ink, followed by silver?

You can start with Boltgun Metal, then you do a Black ink wash (any black colour you have is good for this but I prefer Chaos Black) and finally you can highlight it with Mithril Silver or, if you want it a bit darker youcan use Chainmail. Hope it helps.

make sure you highlight the underside of the chip, it will make it look more 3d
