Question on signing a mini

Ok so I'm sort of new to painting miniatures and I was wondering if it is ok to sign a piece or leave initials Ina. Discrete area. I'd like to eventually start selling my figures but I also want those people to remember where they got it from. Is it ok to do it? Should I maybe just throw my initials on the bottom of he base? What do you do? Or is this an absolutely ridiculous question? Thanks for the future input and answers.

Yes a lot of people do it, when I remember I use a Dragon line logo and the year.

Usually on the rear of the black base, but occasionally underneath if it's something "special".
