Hey guys, i recently switched my chaos army from khorne to slaanesh. and i lately have been paint my army with ice blue instead of the standard tentical pink. i still paint like crap, seeing as how i have naturally shakey hands(its annoying). i want to make my marines look better. any ideas on highlighting or waying to get the details better? i seem to run over the smaller details of my models....

They don\'t look that bad to me... But then it IS a camera-phone! :D lol

I\'d have a look on a colour-wheel for a good contrasting colour... Seems to me maybe a golden yellow-orange colour might sit well, but I don\'t know.

Also - for bracing your arms and steadying your hands I reccommend having your mini on a taller base (Ie. A standard marine temporarily glued to an old wine cork) in order to hold him, rather than simply having him stood on your table.

Thanks man. see im not really worried about the trims, its the basic parts of the models(the blue areas). i want them to stand out more, maybe with some shading (but i dont have a clue for what colors i need to use). or maybe put some designs in, last time i tried that, they came out to thick due to the brush, any ideas on how to make them?

How about fading them with a mid-purple, or even some green...?

It\'s really your taste mate - they\'re YOUR figures :)

A good blue for Slannesh would be something like this:

Something bright and vibrant.

I wouldn\'t go blue and yellow on chaos marines though as it may make people think of the Thousand Suns chapter which is Tzeentch.

Haha, true they are mine. but im just looking for somet pointers and ideas, ill take the ideas that i like. i did like the blue on that model. what other colors did they use for the shading/highlighting? i liked that alot. the purple seems like a decent idea, what other colors would i need for that?
