Quick feedback guys?

Here\'s a mockup of the page I am working on. any thoughts?

The bright spot on the \'E\' is a little too bright. With a quick glance at the page (which is the first kind people will have) I thought it said \"Chrom.\" Dropping that bright spot altogether will not really hurt anything.

That same spot is a little odd on the left-hand buttons as well. It obscures the words, and it draws the first glance to the end of the word.

So, if i want to keep it i should atleast tone it down a notch or two then?

Yeah, what evil said. I like the layout in general though - looks clear enough (which is the main thing imo!). Are you doing this by hand or using some site creator tool? Bin thinking about making a website of my own, but don\'t really know where to start!

(Edit: Also, I realise the text is supposed to look like chrome - duh! - but to my eyes it looks more like glass atm. And yes, toning down the flare would help loads.)

darker (the whole page colour)

and if i may be so bold as to suggest, i think some of the pictures in your gallery here would look even better with darker backgrounds

Im no expert though, thats just what i think

the difference is very subtle, but i think it might work... how about you?

And the glass effect might be because of the background. the text look more transparent than metallic...

I don\'t know, I like it as is. The \"E\" is hella bright though, and could get toned down.

Lookin\' good though! I gotta get my page finished off soon. The guy doing it (EldinTux from around these parts) needs a bit more info from me, then we\'re GO!

dont bevel and emboss that skinny font, it looks pretty... Not right. And try using another colour, like blue or something. And the buttons look far apart and a little messy, i would suggest keeping it simple and clear rather then flashy and complex. I like the chrome though!

No php at the moment. only css and java to complement the code really. But i just might add something, not very well fared in php though.

I have been wondering about the red text. Still not sure what to do with it. Might try blue. but That makes the page rather cold, at the moment there is a bit more balance in warmth...

The reason the links are so wide apart is that it looks a bit empty when they\'re not at the moment.

grey is a boring background. Can\'t you edit a picture in? Or atleast a picture behind the \'Chrome\'?

Well, there will (hopefully) be quite a lot of pictures in the various parts of the site. I\'m afraid that adding more might become less... But... any suggestions about the motif of said picture in that case? I might change my mind!

I actually prefer the grey (or some solid colour, anyway). It won\'t distract from your pictures when you get them up. I think you\'re right about it making the text look like glass, tho.
