Rastaman

Converted and painted this in 2hrs as I needed a break from hours and hours of glazing on an Ilyad figure I am currently working on. Also it was a good test for a conversion I have in mind.

So i\'m not even going to pretend it amazingly painted as it ain\'t. I\'d say at the lower end of TT standard. (It has got three colours!) And his right hand is completely bumfudged.

Going to send it to Scott so his Warhammer army can dole out a bit of love and I have even made him a ruleset.

Herbal Medication.
The Rastaman hands out spliffs to a friendly unit of choice (unit has to be within 12inch of rastaman), these units cannot move the next turn as they are so stoned but they all get the munchies and gain 1hp each from the food eaten.

Exodus.
Rastaman starts chanting the works of Marcus Garvey, specifically the Idealization of Africa and one of the enemies units decides to down weapons and make the exodus back to Ethiopia. Remove this unit from play immediately.

One love.
If the rastaman challenges or is challenged by an enemy character he can play the One Love card. Rastaman explains the concept of One Love or I and I and the two armies decide to lay down all weapons and start a commune sharing resources and technology.

So all in all a bit of fast fun!

(I\'m not going to post bigger pics or stick him up for voting as that would be laughable.)

Peace and love...

I think this is a great idea and excellent execution. Very unique to say the least. :) Love the rules you\'ve created for him as well. Great job!

That reminds me of a friend of mine painting all his Catachan guys black , giving them tatoos and chains and calling them the Hemp Guard.

I have plans, just a case of finding the right figures. But I have a great fig for a Marley convo, when he is bouncing around on stage high on the music with his dreads flailing wildly.

But this is all practice for a 54mm plan which will probably be a year or two before I start it.

Peace and love...

Yeah mahn!

Cool idea man. That\'s actually a really cool concept. How cool would it be to battle your buddies with a Rastafarian army! Love your rules. Maybe you could roll the die to have your army break into some cool reggae grooves that send your opponent into a skank kinda trance. What if both armies united around a fire to pass the golden spliff? This would be nice. Of course, as a rule, the players would have to partake in the smoke. My kinda gaming!

Laurence lol yea he breaks out the drums and lays down a funkie beat! I went to see an African dance troop when I was is Spain, they had everyone singing and skanking in minutes, well cool.

Scott Aye the monopoly man!

Shawn too right Ire, Kev White did great work on this figure making him look proud and defiant, made me think straight away of the Lion of Judah.

Peace and love...

Thats a bit good that is! *Goes to hunt for an album*
Any more stuff you would recommend? Still playing that Ozric tentacles stuff quite often!

Peace and love...

Are those songs anything like Mettalica, Iron Maiden, or Rob Zombie? \'Cause then we got identical tastes in music! Woot!

Still looking forward to getting this guy. I actually have plans to incorporate him into at least one game of Blood Bowl using rules similar to what you\'ve suggested (A vampire with a hypnotic gaze like effect). I\'ll send you pics of the action.

Thanks again. Genuinely appreciative that I should recieve such consideration from you!

Must admit I\'m not the first to do it. Jahminis converted the 54mm Artemis into a Rasta and there is a Burning Spear Space Marine somewhere on the site.

Peace and love...
