Okey dokey, another quickie. A small review on what I found these mini's to be....

-Price seemed cheap, 23$ for a pack fo 5 here on CMON
-Sculpt is bulky and fun to paint. Great for gaming, not so much for a display piece
-Casting was very weak. You can see where there are plenty of rough spots on the mini, mould lines were in pretty hard to get too spots, and it comes with the integral "Broccoli" base.

All said I do really like these mini's. I bought two boxed sets and plan to pick up more of the range to paint up for afternooner style projects. This guy was around 4 hrs from blister pack to doneski. Again, I really reccomend them despite the flaws.

i have a load of them (most of the range) and they aren't the best. but they do have character. the metal work on the gun is fab but i reckon you could do with darkening the shading on the pouches

Scott and his swapsies/tradsies! LOL

I think your painting style really works well on this type of mini. You've got kind of a grungy, natural look to your style,.

I think a bit of pastel 'dust' on the tails of his jacket would give that hunk of color some interest.

How do this minis 'scale up' to more recognizable things (ie hasslefree, GW,)?

It's a nice characterful piece Scott. I think you do right getting him done quickly, fannying about with fancy paint on rough minis hasn't really been very satisfying for me at least :)

The red gears at the front of the base aren't really working for me. Shame as that lovely green on the rock & goggles would triangulate nicely with it ;) Perhaps just a touch around the button on his pointing cuff too?

Are the rest of them next in the painting queue? It'll be nice to see a unit of these :good:

Cheers, B.
