Article I – REGISTRATION
The Ravage MixOpen will take place from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th of September at Porte de Versailles, hall 6.
Art.I a – The Ravage MixOpen is “open”, which means that participants are awarded prizes in their own category, according to their level. It is open to all, with no restriction of age or club membership.
Art.I b – The MixOpen is open to participants presenting plastic, metal or resin fantasy or sci-fi miniatures, including those already presented in other contests. It is always best, however, to present recent material, dating back to six months or less.
Art.I c – You may register by filling out the information sheet on our website only (where this document is available in downloadable pdf format) at www.ravagemag.fr (click on the MixOpen 2008 section) in order to get the discount entrance fee to the event.
When you pre-register, an additional entry pass will be offered to you per paid entry: pre-registered participants thus pay for their regular 9 euro entry pass and get one free entry upon dropping off their miniatures at the MixOpen booth.

Article II – Registration and displays
Article II a –DISPLAY LIMITATIONS
Each participant will be limited to a display holding no more than seven pieces, no matter the number of categories represented.
Individual miniatures, miniatures on horses, motorcycles, etc., and busts, count for one piece.
Dioramas, squads, monsters, miniatures 60mm or more, as well as voluminous busts, will count for two pieces.
Example: A contestant may present seven miniatures in any categories. (7 points)
Another may present a squad, a diorama, and three individual miniatures. (2 points + 2 points + 3 points).
Another may present two monsters (4 points), a horseman (1 point), a bust (1 point) and a miniature (1 point).
If one of your pieces counts for more than one point, you will need to fill out as many fields as it is worth points.
Example:
1st field: Avalonian Unit/28 mm Kraken Editions, Master painting
2nd field: Avalonian Unit/28 mm Kraken Editions, Master painting
Since a unit counts for two points, you will need to fill out two fields.
Article II b – DROPPING-OFF AND PICKING-UP MINIATURES
Miniatures will have to be dropped off at the booth no later than 5:30pm on Saturday, September 27th (you may request a waver allowing you to drop off your pieces until 12 noon on Sunday at the latest). Pieces can be picked up after the award ceremony on Sunday, September 28th.
Article III – Jury, categories, and levels

- Seasoned: seasoned painters (advanced techniques mastered, such as blending and scene setting).
- Master: for advanced painters (advanced techniques mastered— blending, texture rendering, special effects— including subjective parameters— lighting, color, mood, etc.— and customization (originality, style).

Art.III d – All participants agree to abide by the jury’s authority and judgment.
Article IV – AWARDS

Special prizes will also be awarded:
Best painting technique, best sculpture technique, best display, best large piece, best diorama, best base, best unit, best use of humor, and finally Best of Show.
