Re-doing my ENTIRE Blood Angel army

Hi Guys,
Over the last year and a half I have been collecting a Blood Angels army. They all have various quality paint jobs, but only 2/250 are actually finished:sinister:
Now, me and my friends are doing a Great Crusade 2 and to motivate us to finish are armies, we have agreed that models have to be mainly painted. This is quite a challenge for me as I have a few hundred models. I have decided to strip my whole Blood Angels army (which takes up about 3/4 of my entire force) and start over, this time using a fast but relatively effective method!

I have stripped most of my army using Fairy Power Spray http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Dakka_Modeling_FAQ:_How_to_Strip...#Using_Fairy_Power_Spray
and I have finished one test model (see below).

This is my army:
Dante
Tycho
Astorath
Librarian with Terminator Armour
Librarian with Jump pack
Reclusiarch
9 captains
5 Honour Guard
Techmarine
8 Assault Terminators
40 Tactical Marines
15 Death Company
Lemartes
6 Scouts
14 Assault Marines
5 Devastators
Dreadnought
Predator

About 8,500 pts

Cheers,
Tom

P.S. Here are some piccies.

By the way, the way I painted this was as follows:
Spray with Army painter 'Pure Red'
Paint metal parts Boltgun Metal (Leadbelcher) and green parts Moot Green
All-Over wash of Devlan Mud (Spray Gun*)
Paint scrolls Bleached Bone
All-Over wash of Gryphonne Sepia (Spray Gun*)

*I didn't use the Spray Gun for this model but when I get it I will!

Effective overall result. However I think that on larger models, i.e. vehicles, you'll need to give one highlight.

For decals glossiness you should try 'ardcoat on the part that will receive the transfer, 'ardcoat again followed by an overall matt varnish. A bit tedious but I think will give you the best results.
If it seems to much just go for an overall matt varnish.

I would change the color of the base lip. Maybe a dark grey.

Keep us posted with your progress.

Looking good! Couple of things:

- mould lines....remove them. Top of gun for example.
- neaten up the metal and then it needs a highlight and some shade as it looks very flat at the moment
- edge highlight the armour. this will not only make you models stand out, your brush control will increase the more of them you do.
- make your pics a little smaller please....my poor 24" monitor cant cope ;)
