Re: Not a bad idea?!

That post by Tau Commander got my gears going. Especially since I have a site, AND I plan on revamping it by January:

What if I added something like this to Painting Commission Site. Would you guys go for it?
I would still go with Paypal, but I think paying at least half upfront before the customer sends them, and requiring PICTURES of what is being sent for pre-approval. It would go a long way to helping me get rid of the stuff I have no plans for, AND I could snag the ones I want...LOL.
And the bits thing, BWBits was doing GREAT business, but the supply/demand was tedious and time consuming.
I\'d have to build up a huge base of either product or customers or both.
I think I would accept painted, as long as they weren\'t dipped in enamel, I can safely clean most stuff off. No Turpentine or any of the other crazy stuff you weirdos use, (and I USED to use...hee hee).
What do you think? Should I?

There may be a market for it, however, it may not be a large enough one to supplement your income.

In other words, don\'t quit your day job :)

And if you get your hands on any Doom (from the video game) minis, I got dibs.

Well, my commissions make-up about 1/3rd of my income, so ANY increase is a good thing...lol.
And if anyone out there wants to make requests, I could probably make a \'wish list\' fuction on my site as well.:D

GAWD!!
I can\'t believe how much I enjoy reading here.
How did I ever function before I found you guys?!
Seriously, I start the morning with a cup of coffee, an egg sammiche, and a recap session to catch up what I missed while sleeping!
You guys are so much fun, that have YET another flood in the basement was almost a good thing!
Thanks for existing.:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

I made 2 million in a year, and it took me less than a year to spend it.
When I have an excess of cash, I get REALLY generous.
I\'ve learned to maintain just enough to pay the bills, and a little extra for when I want stuff. I don\'t think I\'m geared for being wealthy.

 While I wouldn’t turn down a Million, I really just want enough to pay the bills, make sure I stay in my own home as I get older and need more help . Also keep me in books, hobby stuff and computers.

I remember all those stories my parents told about growing up in the Great Depression.

You know how he acted all innocent about not understanding what \'tricks\' meant? Well he was just a little too naive in his attitude I reckon. Manwhoring can be a very lucrative business if you are a workahollic!

I started a security firm in Yucca Valley, Brached out to 29 Plams in 3 months and sold the whole thing to a competitor for $850k. Bought 26 houses, spent $145k fixing them up and sold for them for profit and came away with $2,103,574.48. (I had to look it up in my bank statements.:D)
No manwhoring he-bitch for me.

@Jester--go do it again and give me half. I\'ll be a consultant for you on remodeling the houses to justify me as an expense. Or you can just be my sugar daddy :D

@Roger--you\'ll hate to know then that the house I\'m building is only costing $130k, but my homestate of VA is very costly and if I wanted to buy my mom\'s house from her it would be $500k. But I got a deal in the Dallas area fo\' sheezy!
