How do i get more comments?
I\'m a enthusiastic \'amateur\' who needs sincere criticism. As i live in the outback in northern Europe, peers are hard to come by...
So, any comments of the kind i read here would really help me out.
Thanx a lot....

YOu have a good grasp for the basics. Your clor selection is good. I would read some of the articles and then pick a few techniques to trial. Voted.

first thing I noticed is the picture size is about right, but you could crop a bunch of the pic away and show us more of the mini. Then, I thought maybe it was a diarama - if so, then you need to pull back a bit and show us all the diarama.

keep painting. it will get better.

what part of Europe? there are always painters nearby.

Lotfr, eh? Does the F stand for something or is it a fluke? Lord of the Funky Rings sounds like a porno or some sort of bad movie out o0f the seventies, and Lord of the F\'in Rings sounds like the writer got angry and threw in an invective

@ RedSevenBlue :Lmao!Legend of the five rings it means.
@airhead: Mora, Sweden. The diorama is not yet finished, but when it is i\'ll heed your advice! Thanx.
@ogrebane:Thank you for your kind words.:)And thanx for making it easier for the lazy gits, lol.In fact, i tried my hand at blending (face, tunic) but the photo doesn\'t show it. I know i gotta work on my metals, the mail jerkin appears to be massive.Thanx for your vote, bane.

The best way to get comments is doing what you just did, posting on the forums. We have a group of dedicated individuals that almost always are ready with some helpful advice, and you\'ve heard from a few already.

Also, leaving comments for other artists, is a great way to start a \'quid pro quo\' type arrangement.

I commented and voted by the way...

How do!

Metallics could do with washing and highlighting. Other colours are a wee bit flat and would benefit from some more contrast.

Check out Jakob Nielsen\'s metallic tutes on his site (and the stuff that\'s floating around in this forum...). Very useful.

Keep posting!

:)

@ spacemunkie: i did give it a wash with diluted black ink but then i decided to give it golden highlight. I suppose it spoilt the \'highlight\'-effect. With contrast you mean the tunic? I was so proud of my blending,:( but i gotta admid it doesn\'t show on the photo.
Thanx a lot, spacemunkie, i\'ll sure try to improve my painting.
@ supervike: quid pro quo..goes without saying;problem is,there\'s so many darn good painters here ,that i could spend the rest of my life writing comments, lol.
But will do, and thank you for vote and comment, vike.

I had heard that one\'s rated quite harshly on CMON but i gotta say i\'m happy with my rating. Thank you all, especially for the criticism and to you, Ogrebane, for the direct link
P.S. i\'m happy as it is but are keen to improve. So be so kind and carry on criticising!
