I think they look good painting-wise, but the figures don\'t even begin to appeal to me as sculpts. I think that seems to be limiting the scores here. A shame because you paint well, clearly.

Paint job is OK but the black lining is too stark. Try thinning down the paint more or use a dark purple instead of black.

Pictures are only too large under two conditions. They are too bit to fit under the 60o pixel wide limit or they are so large that they show detail beyond the ability of the painter. (Thus showing up flaws that normally can\'t be need by the unaided eye.)

They both look good. My first impression was that the paint needed to be thinned a slight tad on the flesh tones, but it might just be a combination of the flesh tones and my current monitor which isn\'t always perfect.

Remember: A good mini can be blown up and still look good. (My own minis of course don\'t fall under that category.)

the tan scarves work well with the skirts, but clash with her flesh tones. IMHO

The bikini one needs one more level of highlight on the skin to make her \'pop\'.

Nicely done the both of them.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I\'m not sure why there seems to be such dislike for these figures (reverend is not the first person I\'ve heard this from). Aside from the hands, which are admittedly terrible, I think these sculpts are quite nice.

Regarding the hands, I think it must be nearly impossible to get them to look finer given the molding and casting process. I haven\'t seen other hands (in a similar position) that look better. Have any of you? Klocke\'s hands are always nice and fine, but he always makes sure they are holding a weapon.

Regarding the darklining, I actually used Reaper MSP brown liner. Just looks black in the pictures, though in real life it might still be too dark for you, OB. I\'ll take your advice and try some purple next time.

Tzor, you\'re right about the thinning I think--I hope that you\'ll notice a difference between the bikini girl, who(m) I painted first, and the skirt girl, who was second. I think the second one was much smoother. What do you think? This was actually a good lesson for me as one of the reasons I bought these figs was to practice flesh tones before I start in on the 72mm Sophie from Reaper.

In fact, I think the whole fig is painted not quite as sharply as I\'d like--something I think I improved on the second one, and also something I doubt I\'ll go back to fix. There is always a next time.

Sounds like good advice :)
