Nice work.
Good job on the base and the color tranistion on the cloak is very nice.
The background you chose for this photo \'washes out\' some of the color and makes the skin tones appear to be flat. The gold/yellow armor also could use a bit more contrast.
I like the green scale armor very much... better contrast between light and dark tones.

That\'s an adventurous piece and you chose a lot of colors for a starter piece on blending and shading. You also through some freehand in there. Gutsy and good on ya! =)
As far as critique, don\'t be afraid to deepen your shadows and brighten your highlights. Also, you may want to try thinning your paints more to even out some transitions and smooth out your freehand. For the freehand on the back of the cloak, you may want to come back with a touch of your base coat to true up those lines. It will really help when you\'re working with a light color over a darker one like that.

Good work, the blending looks very good.
I think the sword could use some brighter highlights to look more metallic. I also think the area on the cape, with the freehand, is a bit flat. It could have used more tones before the design was added.
Very good work overall, I like the base very much. Why not submit it for voting?
