REaper goes a bit Sci-Fi

Well, I\'m a bit excited about the line.

Reaper has some good stuff, but has become rather predictable of late.

I\'m glad to see them branching out.

Hmm, technically good sculpts but nothing we haven\'t seen before. Musclebound/busty pistol packing adventurers? Check. Visored troopers? Check. The last one is interesting in a \"Firefly\" kind of way but still not terribly innovative.

My thoughts exactly......But is it me, or is she missing a pistol from the left hand holster?

Well, using such broad descriptions it\'s pretty much impossible to have stuff that is quite innovative. I for one quite like these new sculpts and find them refreshing. Sci-fi in Reaper style.

I personally love the Cowgirl mini, I\'m a HUGE fan of Firefly / Serenity so I\'d love them to follow up with similar models that follow the whole Western / sci-fi.

25mm pointless? Dang, let me be the first to make a motion to bring back true 25mm and garbage all this \'heroic\' scale crap. I for one truly miss 25mm.

Ummm, their \"25mm heroic scale\" is really the 28-30mm scale that most other manufacturers use. There is an explanation here.

I think that very few manufacturers use true 25mm scale anymore. The only one that comes to mind is Mega Miniatures.

Shouldn\'t that be \"I gave them some ideas and unfortunately they are not composating me in return.\"

Ok, I avoided this the first couple times, but . . . Dear god I would hope they weren\'t composting the poor girl.

Compensation yes, composting no!

Freebooter looks to be smaller to me, just a smidge though.

Which line of reaper do you have in your hand? I ask only because Warlord seems to be more robust to me than some of the older DHL stuff. Last I compared Freebooter to Reaper it was a Warlord model also done by Werner.

<shrugs> will have to check when I get home.

Hasslefree, are they true 25 as well? Again they seem to be a bit smaller than Reaper but I couldn\'t be sure.

reaper jade dancing girl
freebooter Chaos Witch
freebooter Sister of Mercy

I doubt it makes any difference with these exact ones though as I can\' see them used in a battle lol

Though the freebooter pirate queen does seem a little more delicate.

What\'s with all the 25mm heroic bollocks? Why not just call them 28mm, or 30mm or whatever they actually are.

I\'d love for companies to just do the sensible thing and measure either to the eyes or top of the head and use that size as standard.
