Dogsoldiers was such a cool film, the werewolves are just guys in costume but they got the fur and the faces looking really good. Plus it was very funny, in a dark sense.

I didn\'t like underworld mainly because I felt that the CG werewolves looked terrible (they had a kind of slimy aliens look to them rather than the furry crinos that White wolf is so renowned for).

I just watched the DVD of Underworld last night (Been refering to it as Underwired). My point of view; it was just a vehicle for Kate Bekinsale to walk around dressed in black leather shooting massive amounts of ordinance.
No problem with the Kate Bekinsale bit but; for pity\'s sake the girl hit nowt! Plus the foley sound didn\'t match the weapons fire rate.
Dissapointed.

I don\'t think they used many CG wolves in Underworld. Judging by the documentary and commentary on the DVD they only used CG for the transformation type stuff.

The majority of the shots were done with bodysuits, animatronics and wire work, which actually makes them more impressive to my mind. They were a bit un-furry though, I think that was a deliberate decision to distance the look from most previous werewolf films.

I really like Dog Soldiers, as much for the humour and dialogue as for the effects.

Ahh, so you feel she attended the Imperial Storm Trooper School of Marksmanship? I did enjoy the film as a light hearted romp, and nothing more.

Just a guess, but that\'s very likely the result of most of them never having read Stoker.

People act like vampires never existed in literature before Rice started in with her novels.

I will admit I have not read Rice...but it\'s not for lack of trying. I\'ve started Interview with the Vampire twice...both times dropping the book by page 40 cause Louis had already said \'Let me go back to my story\' about ten times.

No! not a pepsi fan! I think they\'re pretty much equal in general, except when it comes to having coke in a glass bottle from Mexico with the real sugar, not corn syrup. Soooo much better! There\'s a store by my school that sells it, and on a bad day it allways cheers me up to have a Mexican Coke and some spicy beef jerky....

Well, of course Liquiturd comes in diet, but you\'ve gotta try the amazingly arbitrary Vanilla, Lemon, and Lime flavours that add that extra, miniscule kick!!
Honestly, I think hacking other people ideas is a time honored tradition, spread over the width and breadth of humanities hobbies. Confrontation rocks, and I\'m not gonna complain about rip-offs of a good thing. I mean, almost every modern fantasy book has some roots in Tolkein, but I love \'em all, and as long as they keep throwing hugely muscled warriors, surly dwarves, and lithe female elves at me, I\'ll shut my yap and keep on trucking.

Actually, I drink Diet Mt. Dew. Hate dark soft drinks/colas.

I just try to downgrade Coke every chance I get.

I\'m not a rabid Rice fan, by any means, but I have enjoyed some of her books. I particularly enjoy the ones where stuff is set in other historical periods, I find she really has a gift for bringing history to life. My favourite is Cry to Heaven, which focuses on the male castrati singers of Italy.

Disturbing, in a good tingly kinda way.

But then, my best friend loves Rice and hates Stephen King, who I AM a fan of...so...everybody\'s happy.

Never read any Anne Rice. I prefer books by Peter David ( he writes the best Star Trek novels ever) and Robert Rankin who writes generally weird fiction and is an all round cool dude.

As for Coke vs Pepsi, I can\'t really tell the difference to be honest. I prefer Vimto or 7up or Sprite.
