So, my new year's resolutions went out the window rapidly. Wrecking my shoulder, on my first week back at the old day job, meant that my new exercise regime and all my planned projects for painting have had to be left by the wayside. The pain and stress also meant the giving up of smoking was put on hold too.

Oh well, at least I haven't been idle. I have used the downtime to update my website, facebook and blog and to launch myself onto the realm of twitter as well as a host of other networky-type things. Please feel free to click on any of the links if you want to connect to me.

I've also managed to get all most of my paperwork dealt with (although too late to get my tax return in on time-grrr) and played about with my photography setup -I will be doing some test shots of old figures so watch this space for some updated gallery shots early next week.

Hopefully I can get back to the desk next week-my arm is out of the sling and I have full movement back although it will need at least a month of physio before I can do any heavy work (or open a door without wincing).

I have loads of painting I want to do. My motivation is high (boredom is a terrible thing) and the meds are dealing with the depression fairly well at the moment so I'm really hoping to be able to get down to it. Expect some WIPs asap.

So that's about it. Thanks for looking in and let's see how things go...
