hello All,

Just thought I would pop this up here to get your opinions ont hese tow up coming figures from Red Box Games.

I am kind of up in the air about the Dwarf; I am not sure whther or not to give a moustache. I originally designed him without one, but I know how traditions can be dangerous to break.

Anyway all comments are welcome,

thanks for your time,

Tre\'

impressive! very nice sculpts :D

am not a huge elves fan but i could see more buyin the bulkier dwarf, he has bags of character, wot weapon do u plan on giving him?

as for the tash, id say no, i think ud struggle to fit a dwarf tash in their and still make it work, the face has got alot of character and i think ud risk hiding some of it, although, 2 tufts of nose hair would look quite good

as for the elf id say a few more ribbons on the staff, and perhaps a larger crystal (if that wot is is) on the top of the staff. very nice sculpts though

In this case, I\'d not be afraid to break \"standards\"! I think a mustache would ruin the expression you\'ve given him. There\'s enough dwarfy attitude about him as it is!

Lovely sculpts, all around. I can see me spending some money at a not-too-distant future!

That Dwarf looks amazing, bookmarked the site the other day and will definetly be dropping in alot with miniatures like this rolling out of the forge

I love the intelligence you captured in the Elf\'s face; quite outstanding.

Both of them look incredible for the scale.

Normally I don\'t like the \"pot-bellied\" look for dwarves, but I really like this one, sans mustache and all.

And I\'m VERY picky about dwarf minis.

Great stuff Tre, I just prepped and based one of your barbarians today and if these are anything like as good as him which they look like they are if not better they will be bloody awesome.

WOOHOO!! Looking forward to it! I have been getting antsy to see one of my newer figures painted. There is NOTHING for a sculptor to better illustrate areas to be improved upon than a paint job.

thansk everybody for the feedback, I really appreciate it. Oddly, I had decided not to do another Dwarf berserker just yet after my first one, but this design just kind of popped out of my head and I HAD to sculpt him. He is all but finished now, just have to sculpt the weapon head ( s ), and the pipe.

I will post news when he is availible.

Looking great Tre, a couple of little niggles though, the handle on the drinking horn, why? Real ones very rarely did. Also, the elf seems to have quite a short forehead, although this might just be a illusion created by the hairline or something. Keep it up :)

Hmm, I had no idea that real drinking horns did not have handles. I would have rather not used one to be honest. It certainly would have made sculpting the hand more interesting. However when I designed these dwarves I did not want people to confuse their drinking horns with blowing horns.

The place I got my drinking horn also sold blowing horns and horns that could be used for both (had a stopper for when you wanted to drink out of them). None of them have handles. They do all have leather straps to either tie to your belt or go across your body though.

This is Fantasy though, who knows what\'s the right way.
