Today is Veteran's Day in the U.S. To all my Comrades in Arms of the U.S. and our Allies, please take a moment to remember our fallen brothers and sisters, and thank those that are still with us that have served or are currently serving their countries.

Semper Fidelis.

A day late but...

A nod from me to my Grandfather Sgt. Léopold Jeanrie. Wounded in action 1945 but luckily died in 1976 (sadly still relatively young).

In a strange twist of fate my grandfather's first wife died from disease (no living member of the family remembers what she died from only "a disease that doesn't really kill people anymore") while he was away and he had to give up his first child (half-aunt to me) as he had no real way to raise her while fighting in Europe for over two years.

And of course a nod to all the other Vets.

Thank you Grandpa.
