Hi guys,

Just trying to remove a lot of metal for a conversion and it\'s going sloooooooowly. lol

What do you guys generally use to grind it out when volume is the name of the game? ???

Are you using the metal brushes or a grinder bit? If it\'s a grinder, which one? I haven\'t been able to find one that doesn\'t get clogged up quickly.

Thanks!

Don\'t grind, definitely don\'t grind - white metal gets \'smeary\' and glogs up abrasive materials at any sort of speed.

I clip off as much as I can with snips/nippers/cutting pliers, then if I want to use the motor tool I use a cutting head. They come in various shapes but they\'re of this basic construction:

Or something like this:

Infinitely superior to any of the grinder-type bits.

Welcome! Here\'s some of the profiles you can get:

These remove a lot of material, fast, so use at a low speed and work carefully as one slip and you could erase all or most of some detail off to one side that you wanted to keep.
