Removing sheen from inks

Hey all,

I've been adding inks to my paints when shading, and it's a great smooth result, but it's shiny. :crying:

All I'd like to know is if there is any way to remove this without a matt varnish - I've had bad experiences with varnish in the past - it really mucked up my mini's. Now I'm painting primarily for the display cabinet, I haven't actually got any varnish...

So, how do I lessen the shine off inking?

Yeah matte medium might do the trick. I'd try the golden matte. are you adding inks into the paint and then shading? Or are you painting and then inking?

Adding inks to the shading, I find it helps deepen the shade, thins it just right to allow a smooth shade to start working highlights into.
I'm about due an order to get more paints/media, so I'll look into a matt medium. I've got Glaze Medium, but figure that's something different...
Thanks for the advice guys, I'll let you know.
