Removing spray paint?

Hi everyone,

I have a problem: I want to repaint my Wood Elf Lord but this time with a white undercoat instead of a black one.

However, my dad says terpentine doesn\'t work and that it only removes the paint, NOT the spray coated chaos black. Normal water with soap ( what I use for brush-undercoated mini\'s ) doesn\'t work either.

So please, can you help me?

Simple Green ... it may need an overnight soak or over the day...but it is better for the world than Brake fluid the alternitive... Simple green works for plastic and metal and resin with no damage
I strip all the time enjoy :D

In that case try Mr. Muscle oven cleaner.

There are loads and loads of previous threads on stripping paint (at least a dozen from the last year alone) as it\'s apparently something we have to do a lot :D

Here are a few that should be able to help with alternative suggestions:

Apparently available in Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, etc., as they have a webpage for one of their global partners and the same sassafras-scented product I use over here is listed there on the Danish page:

I was checking the MSDS to see if it has the same ingredient that I know strips paint, but their safety sheets are not as specific as the US ones. Interesting to know, though, that it\'s Kosher(!) and that it\'s approved by the EPA for cleaning up oil spills!

You want the cleaner/degreaser variety, which looks to be the Mint version in the heavy-duty jug. I don\'t speak Dansk or Deutsch, however...
