firstly welcome to the forums secondly if they are painted... say goodbye to the paint... only ways i know how.... break fluid (takes a while tho) and hot water (also takes a fair soaking) i dont know how boiling water would effect the model tho so try throwing in a extra arm or something first! then try the mini :D

Acetone eats superglue for breakfast instantly - just the fumes will weaken the glue. However, acetone also damages plastic minis, though I\'ve no idea how quickly.

Perhaps a 5 second swirl of the mini in the acetone and then rinsing it immediately will do the job without damaging the plastic?

And welcome to the forums. :)

I\'m with Ogrebane on this one. Use acetone and your mini will be pulling off a Wicked Witch of the West stunt. And welcome to the forum :).

yeah, I can\'t see a good way to disolve superglue off plastic, largely because it does slightly disolve the plastic depending on the type of plastic. Which means when you\'re using your knife to carve off the extra glue, you\'d actually also be smoothing and essentually resculpting that top layer of plastic which disolved slightly and reshaped.

There are superglue debonders.

I didn\'t realize superglue changes the plastic at all.

Modelling glue sometimes called Liquid Cement actually melts the plastic a bit so it fuses with the other part.

I remember hearing that a good way to break joins is to freeze said mini. Take him out after a night or so, and the glue will be very brittle. Maybe it would scrape off easier in this state?

Simple Green is great for that kind of stuff. They don\'t sell it in Korea anymore, but I pick some up at Costco years ago and it stripped everything. No damage to the plastic parts. Another good item is Easy Off oven cleaner. Used that when I was the States and Canada and it cleaned plastic with out damaging it.

This is supposed to work a treat, haven\'t had the chance to try it yet.

Does oven cleaner remove enamel paints (like Humbrol or Testors enamels)?
Yep, if anything it actually works better on them than on acrylics.
