No your not I also wait until I have a need to thin .I use a clear candle plate stolen from my wife as a palette as I can see thru it for my desired consistancy.DD

tzor, I\'ve worn through paint to bare metal drybrushing...my lesson learned was that my priming wasn\'t sufficient. Used to brush on, now I spray, covers better and is probably more durable.

Well I thought I solved her coal dust legs. But my canera is a harsh mistress and she \"reveals\" the darkness and requires me to continue to do work on her. More paint!

getting a dolop of water that has been blessed with the sacred dish washing soap drop, then a drop of flow enhancer.

I always though a drop of soap would make sense, without knowing why...

So.. Why ?

Also heard about stuff like wet water and flow ehnancer... I feel my water is wet enough and flowing enough.. what\'s the deal with that?

Do you mean that you can thin the paint right in the pot? Makes physical sense, but I don\'t like the idea...

I think it is a combination of water softener and surface tension breaker. (Although I think I may have just described the same effect twice.)

...unfortunately I\'ve never experienced being thin, but I\'m willing to try

As for my paint, I don\'t think I get it thin enough. I always find myself leaning across looking at Peter\'s mixed paint and end up adding more water to my own

Problem here is that I thin my paints so much (with flow enhancer to reduce pooling and gel medium to reduce pigment fallout) that it takes ages to build up any depth of color.....trying to find that golden mean between thinness and coverage is driving me nuts!lollol
