Its not very often I go back to a figure in my cabinet and re-do bits ,but my only Eldar mini (184902 ) bugged me every time I looked at it.So I decided to get an honest second opinion from my arty Daughter :no:.She soon put me straight and suggested some new peripheral colours.
So here is Vadria ,mark 2.With greek hoplite type comb added ,extra flowing bits & gems and repainted Helm and wraithbone armour .:D ;).
Now I am happy with my little pointy eared chap. :flip: :D .
Also another 80mm Scratchbuilt WOLF ....:flip: RAGNAR BLACKMANE ( I HAV READ ALL THE BOOKS YOU KNOW...... SADDO !):redface:

Both are georgous Amazing colors on that eldar and Ragnar looks so incredibly feral like he\'s going to come thru my monitor an slap me silly.

Are the scratches painted on, \"real\"scrathmarks or is it a mix?
How about showing us those pretty nifty scupting skills of yours in a WIP the next time.

beautiful work, particularly on the wolf. I love the agressive poses on both of these guys. Really great stuff. :beer:

Awesome and inspiring as always. Especially the space wolf. I think you\'re crazy(in a good way) for repeatedly working in that scale and I wish I could see your stuff in person.

Now a little nitpicking:

It always feels awkward offering criticism to someone who\'s skills are way beyond mine, but here goes: I don\'t really like the wolf heads on the backpack. I don\'t know if it\'s the photo or the black color not having as much contrast as the rest of the mini, or their features looking a bit rounded or what. The rest of the mini has a gritty realism and he looks like a real badass, but those wolf heads don\'t seem to fit with the rest for me(maybe because the rest of the model has scratches and weathering, but they have none?). Maybe it\'s just my personal preference.

Still can\'t give it anything less than a 10 though :)

I agree Herb, though my skills are WAY below yours vincenti, the wolf\'s heads on the backpack look a little out of place. Though the rest of the mini is amazing~
And I LOVE the eldar pose, wow, that\'s very inspiring my friend!
10\'s for both~ :D

You guys are right about the Black wolf heads.Though in real life they do look more shaded,maybe I should have pushed the contrast more for the black.
Most of the battle damage is sculpted on,some small abrasions are painted.Believe it or not doing battle damaged and weathered minis ,whether historical or sci/fi ,creates a lot more extra work for youself.

i saw the space wolf at GD in the open catagory.....

But didn\'t you win the catagory it with another mini?

so did yoou enter the same catagory twice?

G.W rules are 1 mini ,1 catergory. (sadly) .The mounted Eisenhorn was in the large figure class.I will post a pic of him when I can take a decent pic :no:
