Replacements for old inks

Hi there. I was wondering if anyone had some experience/suggestions on an alternative to the old GW inks, specifically the black. While I like the new washes, I still use the inks for specific jobs such as drawing fine lines or filling in cracks with dark colors. My black pot\'s starting to get low and I\'m planning on going out for a replacement this weekend.

I\'ve heard Winsor and Netwon drawing inks are potientially usedful: http://www.winsornewton.com/products/inks/drawing-inks/

I\'ve also been looking into Liquitex\'s stuff: http://www.liquitex.com/Products/inks.cfm

Currently, I\'m learning to the Liquitex because I know it\'s acrylic and something I know how to clean/work with, but I\'m open to suggestions if anyone has already gone out and done some searching.

So yeah. I appreciate any help you all can offer.

Coat D\'Arms - The original GW paint, still do inks (I think)...

W&N Inks are VERY shiny/high pigment, so you need to dilute alot more but they do go along way. I quite like them.

W&N Inks contain Shellac, which is what makes them so shiney. While their colour range and coverage is good I\'ve never managed to get them diluted enough to not be highly glossy.
Tried the washing up liquid additive but possibly not enough.

Vallejo Inks have been recommended to me from Jacksonsart.

I\'m fine with CDA inks meself, but that\'s partly because they\'re different. More subtle and matt than GW\'s last ink formulation, IMO.
It\'s not good enough for a lot of people over on Warseer, if all the \'alternative ink?\' topics are anything to go by. They\'ve been looking for as close a match as possible. VGC inks are usually recommended but I don\'t know what it\'s like. No-one\'s shown any comparison pics. Col_Festus might second your choice of liquitex, though.

And I second Dragonsreach\'s opinions on W&N.

Excellent. Thank you for the suggestions. Vallejo had slipped my mind as a possibility as well. While I\'ve never seen Coat D\'Arms in local stores, Vallejo is around. I\'ll see if I can dig up a black ink and give the Liquitex a shot.
