Hi all! My latest piece (well, I painted it back in February, but the pics have only just been released) is the Spyrer Patriarch by GWs Fanatic Studio. This guy is the boss for the Necromunda uphive scum-hunters, the Spyrers...

Black and gold was the brief, so black and gold he is... I was really pleased witht he way the black turned out - the highlights are sharp and iot looks black not grey!

IT\'S UGLY !! I hate it and sniped it into oblivion. Mwahahahaha !!

I always wanted to say that :flip:. Nah, seriously, it\'s nice, and the flesh tones came out well (though I don\'t see any green, but maybe that was the point). I had a little trouble at first distinguishing the feet of the mini from the base because of the dark colors, but maybe it\'s just the pic. Anyway it wouldn\'t be a problem IRL, thanks to 3D vision (does this sound like a superhero power ? lol).

Yeah, i didn\'t like the miniature either... is there any convertion work done to it? i don\'t know... it just seems off to me. i do like the paintjob however and gave you a 9.

*laugh* OK, not too worried about whether you like the sculpt - that wasnt my fault! hehehe! Glad you like the paint-job though!

The paintjob looks better here than it does in WD/Fanatic! Have to agree the mini itself is a bit crap though. The matriarch is an even worse sculpt! Sometimes I get the impression that the Fanatic sculpts are less well thought out and planned than the main studio sculpts. Anyone seen the Mordheim captain bloke in the latest WD? Same standard in my opinion.

Id like to see more depth to the metalics but apart from that very good.
Experiment with the skintone additions to get different results.Remember that the basecoat used for skin greatly alters the final results too.
All them spyrers look to be ripping something off to me.
