Well, the picture\'s pretty dark (probably what\'s hurting your score... when people can\'t make out the detail from the model they assume it\'s not there) but i really really REALLY like what you did with the horse. The chainmal on the rider could have been given more lighter and darker shades if you\'d used non metalic metal to paint it. Shade the gold on the knife and helmet more (can\'t tell on the sword). But i really like what you did with the chest armour of the rider and your face seems ok to me. Overall i\'d give it a 7.

The horse looks good and smooth, but the rider could have been better. The red parts of his armour look pretty flat IMO, and there\'s a visible mold line on his left upper arm. The base is good, but what\'s that thing underneath the horse\'s righ rear leg?
The picture looks dark, it seems you used only one light.

Thanks for the comments, all relevant and useful for my next project. The thing on the floor, thats out of focus, is a severed head of a wildman that Theoden had just cut down from his horse
It was a tricky mini to paint, and was painted at a time when I hadnt been investigating the use of NMM.

I really don\'t like the camera angle of the first picture. It looks like he is a saddle bronc rider instead of a warrior riding into battle.
I see the highlights on the horse, but they are rather abrupt and make the horse look rather plastic instead of like a horse. (horses are worse than eyes.)
I like the tack (bridle, saddle, etc.) and the base. Overall, I think that Theoden is done better than the horse. Overall, much better than tabletop, blended and based: 7.
