Requesting a Photoshop Job!

OK.

This is a bit of a strange request, but I would really appreciate it if someone could do a photoshop job on a mini for me. Nothing complicated, just something like this:

This being the excellent Butcher of Khardov by Jak Nielsen The same format would be fine, four pictures at the top and then a few close-ups at the bottom, with a plainish background.

I\'m sorry if this seems a bit presumptory and demanding. I don\'t know how much work it would take to do a photoshop job - the reason I would like someone to do one for me is because I don\'t have photoshop, and I couldn\'t understand what the hell GIMP was on about with all its codes \'n such :no:

Anyway, if anybody is kind enogh to accept, I will PM to discuss posting the photos on photobucket, what size they need to be etc. (another thing: I shrunk the actual size of the photos on my 2nd Castor submission to exactly fit the 600px wide, as before I\'d just used full size images and let CMoN shrink them. The downsized one came out kinda blurred and weird ).

I don\'t think that first photo IS manipulated in any way. You can see faint shadows on the background which leads me to believe it\'s a simple blue-white gradient photo backdrop and good lighting.

That will certainly be true. I would say he would have an excellant set up for his photography. I think Bill was mainly needing assistance with the montage aspect.

Do you have photoshop? It is pretty easy, just takes some planning.

That\'s awesome Dr. Evil, thanks a lot! only two little things, there are some little chunks out of the blade and the close-ups are kinda large, but that is minor stuff which I (even I) can sort out if necessary *edit* Actually, no I can\'t. Doesn\'t matter :duh:*edit*

As for the photographs, no set up at all. A white sheet of A4 paper, and natural light. Involves a lot of experimentation and needs a cloudy day, with the light facing in the right direction to avoid shadows. I took (literally) about 50 photos to get those final ones :]

I can fix those issues. I didn\'t notice the chunks out of the blade, and the close ups are always a bitch to try and get them to fit in the size without huge gaps. I will play with it today and should have something for you when you get up. (ain\'t that 11 hour time differnece cool)

Ok Bill here is the second atempt. The blow ups aren\'t as big and the notches in the blade are gone. Hope you like it, I had better spend some time on my own stuff.

@Krom. I will put up a thread on making a montage next weeken as I will be flat out over the rest of the week trying to catch up on work.

Thanks Demonherald, it is the one I am entering. I\'ll bring along a few other minis to show for the hell of it too The Serif Photo Plus thingy you recommended looked promising, but it isn\'t mac-compatible Do you (or does anyone else) have any idea how to download GIMP? I couln\'t understand the site, but I should get my own software - I can\'t depend on the kindness of DrEvilmonki for everything :duh:
