Quick back story:
For those that don't know, I produced a web series called "We're Still Learning"; it's just stuff about the community I live in and it's something I do for fun and to learn about the place that I live in.
Anyway, the site is hosted by the place I work at (York News-Times; daily newspaper). Over the past few weeks, several of the employees have started their own personnel blogs that are also hosted by the paper, so the Media Director got the idea to have a little competition between all of the YNT bloggers.
Found out today that for the next month, whichever blog gets the most page views wins some little trophy. Mostly it's about the bragging rights.
I asked that I not be a part of it because A) I don't so much blog as I do a web series and B) I'm not a part of the official "blogosphere" that the others are (meaning I'm not listed on the blogs section of the site; they are).
I was told that I'm in the competition, although I don't actually have to do anything. Basically, I'm in whether I like it or not.
Well, if I'm in, I want to win.
So, I'm asking everyone that can, please take a few minutes and head over to http://wslshow.com and look through a few pages. Please make sure the page loads (it doesn't count if it's not completely loaded) and help me win!
Spread the word! Tell your friends and family! Tell total strangers! Post it on forums far and wide!
