Resin

hey,

A few weeks ago i bought some resin and i finally tried to make a real waterbase. The water on top of the base is wonderful, but on the sides, it isn\'t transparent anymore, how do you get it transparant again?

Thanks in advance!

i know very little about water effects as i haven\'t had the balls to try mine yet but it sounds like your layers were too thick..... maybe

Sounds as though it needs finishing and polishing.

Depending on how bad the surface is, you\'ll need to knock it back with wet and dry, then get some polishing compound on it. Finish with a toothpaste or Brasso polish to get a nice shiny finish.

We used to have some nifty powered buffers and polishing compounds at school that I used to use for final polishes. Great if you can find one to use :)

You can try to add some vaseline on the side, I use this trick a lot, the resin will abosrb the vaseline and make it more shiny and transparent

I\'ve had good results using Future Floor Finish on clear resin sections that became a little clouded.
