Results of my music explorations

I don\'t know if you\'re interested but I\'ve been playing around with pandora.com listening to various things you all have reccommended to me. I have not by any means gotten through everything yet because I want to do them all justice and I tend to get \"music overload\" after a few hours of intense listening.

Some of my tastes have surprised me actually. I knew I like things like the Eagles, Creedance, Jim Croche, Strawberry Alarmclock, and various motown artists. And as expected I tend to like gentle things like Celtic Women, Alanis Morrisett, and things like that. But what really startled me was my attraction to Metal and Rock. Blue Otstre Cult was one of my favorites when I was young but I figured it was an abboration. I like the Stones too, and Deep Purple. Never much paid attention when I was young to things like that. I\'ve got Derek and the Dominos \"layla\" playing right now. I like Cinderella, Van Helan (went to school with one of them at one point), Mastodon, Breaking Benjamin, Atreyu, Kix.

I\'m really surprised at this. I\'ve found I love a good rock guitar. And I LOVE drums. Go figure! Liz is a Rock Chick! lol

Pandora radio is really cool. I\'ve found all kinds of songs and bands that I had never heard of that I really like.

I found out I like grunge too. Missed that whole period of music in the middle on having babies and moving to where I am now and sick husbands and all that.

I am truly enjoying finding out who I am. I\'m finding out I actually like myself. Thank you guys for helping with all this.


Oh, and I suggest this for all of you. Put aside what you THINK you like and try some new things. You might be surprised what you find out. Then if there\'s something about your life you just can\'t stand I challenge you to CHANGE IT! Life\'s too short to hate it. Make it something you can love. It\'s wonderful! Hard, but wonderful.
