hahhahha yeh yeh but in italy we have a motto... \"a caval donato non si guarda in bocca\" translated \"you have not to see in a mouth of a horse gifted to you\"... the deep meaning of this is... if u get sumthing for free u must accept without questioning :D:D:D:D

lol Thats interesting. Many mottos/proverbs are spezial in every country but some are equal. We have the same proverb in germany \"einem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul\". Exactly the same meaning. :D

For my part, I don\'t buy GW modelling accessories (waaaay too expensive), but I love their minis. I try to look for cheap offers or on ebay. Have to live with it. ;)

It is also popular motto in Poland :) \'Darowanemu koniowi w zeby siê nie patrzy\' ;) About water- i think it is the same thing like Vallejo water effect witch is chepaer than this made by gw, so i dont need to buy it..

I got the Vallejo Water and I like it better than Woodland Scenics. there is not as much in the container but it is carried at the distributor thus cheaper for my use, it dried faster the clear was clear not milky, and some is pre tinted. They have Still water as also.

damnit

I\'ve already used 2.5 bottles of Woodland scenics water for my engine of the gods base.

Sadly, I thought ink+ wate rwould be translucent regardless of depth...it\'s too deep so can\'t see the skeletons i had on bottom of base, and i still have to add maybe another full bottle or 2 before base reaches the depth i wanted. i should have used rocks and wood to make it less deep then just put water on top..to save it.

it\'s damn expensive. $21 cdn/bottle :(

If you want depth the only thing that will work best is clear resin. But keep in mind its not water..so all materials will cloud. In a way you have to fool the eye its seeing depth.

Ive tried woodland water effect and white glue and they seem the same to me (even the bad taste) Is water effect somethin different to white glue or is it the same thing repackaged?

uhm for me it\'s the same... buy and paint Gw mini, obtain free colour and pencils and never buy other modelling stuff or transport cases:eek:

ok, when I first read this, I was thinking \"GW is marketing water to rinse your brush and thin your paints with? That\'s ballsy\" Hah, maybe the fanboys would all think they invented a special water for painting ;)

reading more I guess I\'m relieved I was wrong...although it isn\'t much better...

Oh, we have the horse proverb as well in the US \"Don\'t look a gift horse in the mouth\"

yup same here. mind you with the release of the \'masterclass\' paint set, i reckon it could only be a matter of time before they start selling their own de-ionised water.

i agree with finn\'s comment. gw started me on this hobby back when the company seemed to care about the little guy. it just feels like i\'m watching an fun old friend turn into a sour, cranky old bastard

Nope I think they are the microsoft of the miniature world. Most of what they sell is overpriced and all thier rules are aimed at making you buy more minis. having said that I think they have done some good things for the miniature world like the best plastics in the business. But I think they are slowly losing thier way becuase of the accountants running the business. So I guess Im not a fan boy then.

I guess its like being insane if you think your insane then your probably not.

Not just decent plastics, but the mini world would not be what it is without GW. I dare say that the majority of us are here because of them.

The same could be said for micro$oft, but if anyone quotes me on that, I\'ll blame a moderator for slipping that into my post. :bouncy:
