Someone likes your mini the way CMoN seems to like me for leaving comments. Tried several times to leave one but keep getting logged out. :cussing: I\'ll just settle for commenting here and leaving you a very nice score. 2.3 is obscenely low.

I like the dark pallet that you used for her and your paintjob but I feel the base lets it down. It\'s just not up to the same standards as the paintjob on the figure. The side looks like Styrofoam rather than brick and is a bit distracting with the height between the black plinth and the top of the base. I think painting the sides black would have been less distracting. I noticed what looks like a hair or moldline (I assumed hair) on the bucket. Vines too straight and doesn\'t zigzag like a real one and could use more leaves, but I\'m being really picky there. Overall a very lovely piece and way deserving of a MUCH better score than it currently has.

Very nice work! The dark skin tones are fantastic, and i love the glossy effect on the lips.

P.S Wow, what on earth have you done to have the score as low as it is (4.9 when i placed my vote)??? Sad :(

rofl, some sad bastards are sniping it. it\'s a lovely piece. the base add to the scene beautifully without overpowering it. only thing i would change would be to add more leaves to the ivy. love her skin

For superb ivy consider ordering those:

From www.tascamodellismo.com

I bought them from Italy without problems (14 days to get them).

Thank you everyone for your encouragement. I don\'t take the scores seriously though to get snipped it is a bit disappointing. I would think people are more mature and grown up than what they have shown.

I am very pleased with this piece.

The ivy was an experiment. I had seen something similar done on a mini at Jeremie\'s apartment. Thread was used as the vine and then some leaves were glued on. I tried it and I think it came out well for a first try at something.

mais is also french and spanish for corn as well. I\'m wondering if the guys at Kraken did that on purpose?

:)

Again, thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate it. Maya, feel free to comment on my pieces. I need people who will tell me the truth about what they think. I will do some touch ups on Rhymaiss and repost new pictures later. I have to run some errands right now.

this is a much better pic...
you can see the highlights on the stomach and shoulders better...
before, it just looked like her face got all the attention...

i\'m not sure if the black rim all the way to the top of the base is really a big improvement...
i\'ve wondered about what i would do with mine...
the textured sides do make you want to paint it like stone, don\'t they???

it\'s quite a nice paintjob...
the only thing that i think your painting lacks is strong metallics...
the rest is coming along nicely...

keep it up...

cheers

I can\'t see it, the photo at the start of the thread is broken and every time I click on the vote link CMON tells me the entry does not exist :(

I have seen the figure on the front page though :) very nice

I posted a new photo and got rid of the old one as it was too dark. The new photo is posted just 2 responses above yours.
