I see what you mean about the side, it's something to think about, however it would mean a fair bit of surgery on the base but not too difficult.
The only thing I would be worried about would be the idea of the scene is lost if I take away one side as it looses the 'pit' idea that its been pushed into a hole in the road as a desperate last defence, it may look more like its sitting in a dug out large area, if you get my meaning.
I'll have a think, I could do it by cutting off the section of the shorter side 'wall' and plasticard it so its smooth and look like its a cut out of the real world a bit like a 'cut-away' engine type of deal.
There is a lot of space at the back that will have the rear hatch open of the Armageddon basilisk to see it all internally and the top turret sticks out a fair bit too so I will have to make a decision on this before I apint.
I get that its In the vehicle category but if I lose the 'story' element I worry that it wont look as interesting, as I feel I need to grab the judges attention this year with something eye catching rather than a tank in a brown L frame
