Probably right. I never get the right answer on this kind of thing, hence the whole \"duuuhhhh\" thing at the beginning.

If I\'m not mistaken, Gilgamesh was a king of Uruk who slew the Bull of Heaven to end a drought, who had been sent there for not wanting to sleep with Isthar, the goddess of war. This happened on the sixth tablet of the Epic of Gilgamesh.

There were many competing temples who grouped them differently, generally they were in groups of 9, although some had as few as 7 and as many as 10. If the two above assumptions are correct then we arrive at the number 10. 10 can be considered in numerology the number of completion in a base 10 system, also the digit significance of 1 an d 0 together point to this. Consider also that Noah who is alluded to in the riddle was the 10th generation from Adam and his life marked the END of the ante-diluvian age. The generations of Noah are also given in Genesis chapter 10.

Atop the ark a golden pair; who Gilgamesh slew in forest fair;

As I stated before the Golden pair atop the is likely a reference to the Cherubim on the mercy seat of the ark of the covenant. The cherubim were also symbols in mesopotamian cultures. The bible gives 2 depictions of cherubs. One describes them as 4-faced angels with 4 wings, another matches them more closely to the mesopotamian form as bulls with wings and human faces. Either way the riddle could be referring to the cherubs as related to the bull of heaven that Gilgamesh and Enkidu slew, however, they didn\'t kill the bull in the Cedar forest. It was Humbaba who was defeated there, I don\'t know of any description of Humbaba that does not describe him as more of an ogre or demon who protected the trees.

Amarna’s founding Pharoah’s name;

This one is not as easy as it looks. Akhenaten was the founder of the Amarna throne, however he gave himself that name (which meant something like \"Spirit of Aten\") Aten was the sundisk. Pharaohs had generally five regnal names. The birth name of Akhenaton was Amenhotep IV, so if we stay mathematical then maybe 4?

As was mentioned above the not-so-credible story of the Dogon people of W. Africa knowing that Sirius A had a companion star Sirius B, without the benefit of technology. Sirius is the dog-star, but was identified with Isis in Egypt. Sirius\' reappearance in the night sky would signal the start of the Nile inundation.

Ziusudra was the Sumerian version of Utnapishtim who was the Babylonian version of Noah. Ziusudra\'s name can mean \"the immortal\" or \"long-lived\" the Gods granted him immortality in a \"faraway\" land in exchange for his actions. Gilgamesh sought him out to discover the secret of immortality. So his domain could be the afterlife? Heaven? A faraway land?

The Omphalos at Delphi was one of many \"navel stones\" to have been placed in Greek temples marking the \"center of the world\". The one at Delphi was also said to be the very stone that Kronos swallowed thinking that it was Zeus. The stone had a hollow shaft inside which purpose is unclear.

A reference to Simon Magus, In Acts 8:9-24 Simon attempts to buy power from the disciples (Peter and John), hence the term Simony. Simon was described by both Irenaeus and Eusebius as the father of all heresies. He later (according to tradition) became a disciple of John the Baptist, or a follower one of John\'s disciples.

I think I\'m close on this one. Camu-lot seems to be rendered from 2 Celtic words which mean \"Curved Light\". The symbol for the messenger Iris was a rainbow., curved light. The rainbow is, of course, the emblem God gave Noah as a promise that he would never again destroy the Earth by flood. Again tying back to Noah.

Yaakov in Hebrew means \"to hold by the heel\" or by derivation \"to supplant\". His name was changed by God to Israel. Israel may either mean \"struggle\" from his wrestling match with an angel in the famous Jacob\'s ladder account in the Bible. Some have postulated the Israel also means \"prince\" pointing to God\'s promise to bring a nation out of Abraham through his descendant Jacob.

Alright, Apparently the Eastern Church celebrates her feastday on Feb. 13th. The Western Church on Feb. 1st and another source says July 23rd. She supposedly got a message from Christ about the number of wounds he sustained during the passion. She was instructed to say 15 special prayers with attendant promises. Do what you want with this one.

OK someone already said that Ea warned Utnapishtim of the flood, true, Ea was his Babylonian name, in Sumeria the god was Enki, and was later linked to Kronos (he shows up again like Noah) Kronos has been called Father Time.

The epic of Gilgamesh specifically mentions that Utnapishtim saved the seed of humans and animals. Noah took 2 of every kind of unclean animal and 7 of every clean (edible) kind. He also brought his wife and his 3 sons and 3 daughter-in-laws. 8 humans on the ark.

But ‘top t’was not, a golden-pair.

Seems to differentiate the ark from the ark of the covenant. Could be referring to the raven and dove released by Noah.

Seek and you shall find.

Could be a refernce to the famous verse in the gospels, found in Matthew 7:7 and Luke 11:9. The number references here could a the clue as well.

i think we have the answer somewhere here but what exactly do you think the question is?

im taking the first line as a clue and the rest of it the question

the very last bit \"seek and you shall find\"
what are we looking for?

to me the question is the identity of the Ark with the golden pair

what do you guys think

You are right. It\'s hard to make out what the question is, much less the answer.
There is no \"I am...\" or \"this is...\" statement.

So, going from the structure, I\'d guess the first couplet is the question:

\"With Enniad’s fold and Azazel’s star, these numbers lead where ending’s are.\"

With 9 and 1 (?) these numbers (the following stanzas made numerical) lead to where endings are.
So the question is Where are endings?

you know, when i first started trying to figure this out i took the first bit as the question then i tried to find a significant number for each statement, it all went alright but there are a few which i could not find answers to

thats why i mentioned in one of my earler posts that this could be mathamatical but when i tried to post my findings i realised i wasn\'t logged in and couldnt be bothered to write it all down again...it was 2am lol

I can say a lot of the answers are along the right lines.

The riddle itself is in three sections (Don\'t know if that\'s obvious enough)

The first section IS aiming for a number.

The second two are aiming for words.

Well, let me explain first of all...
My friend is experimenting with codes and riddles with the aim of starting some sort of club (I have yet to find out much about it)

So to test, he decided to use his address (Road only)...

You should be able to get it now.
