Question:
If Ride-By-Attack is played, and after a pivot and march, the unit ends it's march on top of or overlapping the enemy unit tray, what happens?

  • Do they follow the same rules as War Mammoths, in that they stop 1" before coming into contact of the enemy unit (counting as having 'moved' through them)?

or

  • Do they pop out of the enemy and is then placed 1" away from the enemy tray, effectively moving further than a march would have allowed?

Neither is true. You only ignore the enemy unit during the March, so you must finish in a legal spot, which would be 1" away from any enemy unit.

Thanks, makes total sense to follow the literal wordings of the card, as it does not mention any of the rulings I laid out lol. Thank you again!

Always go by the wording of the card. Too many times people try to combine similar effects and only create issue. In this case, it is exactly as Groosalugg stated. If a card does not list additional rules, then core rules must be followed.
