Sadly, Lloyd outside of the USA he will mostly be a name that may be possibly recognised but little known.

True Mike, but as one of the last ethical journalists in the states and the voice of the Apollo 11 landings if nothing else he deserves mentioning here.

No disagreement here Lloyd.
I remember the Apollo 11 landings and his coverage as well as the Kennedy assasinations.
But as I\'m one of the older ones here in the UK I think I\'m fortunate in having been exposed to hearing him.

Actually, people born after 1975 or so probaby won\'t recognize him, regardless of country of origin.

I always had a real affinity for true \'newsmen\'. Cronkite being one of them. It\'s too bad what passes for a newsman today is nothing more than a pundit for the parties....
