Instead of painting him to look like Liam Neeson's film character, which the sculpt is modeled after, I used the following reference photos to paint him like the actual historical figure:

Whoa! that's really nice. The tartan has a rich feel to it, but the most impressive is his face. Very expressive, and lots of depth to it. Well done MG!

Thank you very much, both of you! This one was a real challenge, and I have to admit, a few times I was ready to throw him through my kitchen window out of frustration! I think it worked out well in the end, though, and I'm glad you like him!
