Did I miss a good thing?

Watch Prince of Thieves and you\'ll more or less have everything. Including the impossible 2 arrow shot thing.

Whoops! I hadn\'t noticed there was a thread about the England match. Just to clear it up, I was referring to the match as being rubbish, and not Robin Hood, because I only watched about five minutes of it.

Robin Hood and Little John
Walkin\' through the forest
Laughin\' back and forth
At what the other\'ne has to say
Reminiscin\', This-\'n\'-thattin\'
Havin\' such a good time
Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally
Golly, what a day
Never ever thinkin\' there was danger in the water
They were drinkin\', they just guzzled it down
Never dreamin\' that a schemin\' sherrif and his posse
Was a-watchin\' them an\' gatherin\' around
Robin Hood and Little John
Runnin\' through the forest
Jumpin\' fences, dodgin\' trees
An\' tryin\' to get away
Contemplatin\' nothin\'
But escape an\' fin\'lly makin\' it
Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally
Golly, what a day
Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally
Golly, what a day

Pah... this one is the Best...:D...
That is possibly the best robin hood movie, but you got the source wrong: it\'s Allan A Dale.

Sharpe:

O\'er the hills and far away,
Through Flanders, Portugal and Spain,
King George commands and we obey,
Over the hills and far away...

There is more, but I can\'t recall it offhand

EDIT:

over the hills and far away
Here\'s forty shillings on the drum for those who volunteer to come
To \'list and fight the foe today - Over the hills and far away

O\'er the hills and o\'er the main, Through Flanders Portugal and Spain
King George commands and we obey - Over the hills and far away

When duty calls me I must go, to stand and face another foe
But part of me will always stray - Over the Hills and far away

O\'er the hills………….etc.

If I should fall to rise no more, as many comrades did before
Then ask the fifes and drums to play - Over the hills and far away

O\'er the hills ……….etc.

The fall in lads behind the drum. With colours blazing like the sun
Along the road to come what may - Over the hills and far away

O\'er the hills…………etc.

It\'s watchable again I guess which is generally a good job as it will probably be repeated at least twice between now and next saturday..
little bit taking the mickey out of itself at times but still watchable better than f:cussing:ng X Factor .....

still only one sheriff of Nottingham for me though...

AKA Roger Miller.

Love that one myself. That was a piece of comfort from my childhood that I still keep with me. Anytime I don\'t feel good and want to take a nap on the couch, you can bet that\'s what\'s on the tv.

Didn\'t even know anything about it, so I missed it.
Kinda glad in a way.

What I was thinking about (as a sidline to this ) was if the Beeb were ever to do a Fantasy series they should use L.A.R.P\'ers as extras. Now that weould be fun.
Just think of all those \"Luvvy\" directors trying to organise a bunch of Beer/Ale/Mead/Wine swilling, sword and axe weilding anachists. What a mental picture. :D lol

I know that a good few years ago a kid\'s TV series with Hayden Gwyn used several regiments of the Sealed Knot to re-enact a battle. Can\'t remember the name of the series but our Local GW Manager was one of those nutters. Bless \'Im.

Well, I thought it was utter crap!

The guy playing Robin was awful. Looked like he should have been wearing a hoodie and terrifying old ladies on a council estate IMO.

that brings new light to \"Robin of the Hood.\"

What a thug!

I was originally sorry I missed it, but now I\'m not so sure I really missed anything.

One of the ideas I\'m going to throw at my Media Studies group for our coursework film is \"Robin Hoodie\", set in the modern day.

Three incredibly dull things I\'ve heard about the new Robin Hood series are...

1. The BBC have attempted to reuse the same approach they did when they revived Dr Who - hence the modernisation and tongue-in-cheekiness

2. Apparently, when they completed filming, some of the masters got stolen and they had to reshoot a load of it.

3. Keith Allen lost a tooth whilst filming a fight scene and the bloke who plays Gisbourne accidently elbowed him in the face.

And, having sat through the first episode I don\'t think it was great but it was entertaining enough to keep watching. And, as my wife fancies Gisbourne I\'ll be forced to watch with her anyway

yes my wife said Gisbourne, was the only one that looked the part, the others just being boys, except the sherrif, didn\'t like him.
I will keep watching a hope it gets better:D

Shouldv\'e given you a part eh Krom!?
Then they would find out what being \"Medevil\" is REALLY all about!

\"Ninja at 5 O\'Clock Robin! What do we do??!\"

\"Quiet John...Theres no such thing!\"
